About us

Brothers' Swiss Inc. was established in 1979 with brother-in-laws Fred Mead (My father) and my Uncle Don Emmer. I started working with my father on machines when I was about 12 years old. I seemed to learn very fast and was good at it.

My grandfather was a Brown and Sharp machinist, my father was an all around machinist specializing in Cam Swiss Automatics but could pretty much run any type of machine (Guess its in the blood). I would be considered 3rd generation, and it is something I love to do.

My father gave me the opportunity to learn starting from the bottom. Operating machines and doing set-ups a short time later. He never limited me in learning other types of machines I learned to formulate and cut all of my own cams, for our company and many others as well.

I then learned CNC Swiss, CNC Lathe's and CNC Mills as well many other machines to make me an all around machinist. I learned Programming, which came very easy to me, then learned different Cad-Cam software to speed the machining process up.

I am gratful to my father for giving me the opportunity and training to be a successful machinist and business owner.
